HAVERFORD, Pa.- For the third time in his career, senior Jeffrey Ainsley of the Haverford College indoor track and field team was selected as the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week.

Ainsley won the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.42 at the Collegeville Classic on Friday. In the preliminaries, the Ford sprinted to a 8.59, tops among the 12 runners in the event. The senior's 8.42 was one of top times in the nation (T-19th) and the quickest in the Centennial Conference by .35 seconds. It was Ainsley's seventh career indoor hurdles crown.

The senior helped the Fords win the Collegeville Classic. Haverford scored 90 points, 15 more than second place Essex County College. Centennial Conference rivals, Muhlenberg and Ursinus, were sixth and eighth, respectively.

Men's indoor track & field will return to the Alumni Field House next Saturday as hosts of the McElligott Invitational on January 30. Action on that day is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m. The Fords will be at home three of the next four weekends before returning to Ursinus for the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at the end of February.
