HAVERFORD. Pa. – Charlie Marquardt has been named the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week. Marquardt earns his latest accolade after posting the third fastest time in Division III this season in the 1500 meters at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational.

Marquardt has now received a weekly honor 15 times in his career with this being his fourth time earning the accolade during the outdoor track & field season. He has been named the conference's indoor track athlete of the week on six occasions and earned this award five times in cross country.

In earning his most recent accolade, the Fords' senior finished in a time of 3:50.13. The only runner to top Marquardt in the field was a former NCAA Division I runner who competed unattached in the race. Marquardt's time is currently the top mark in the Centennial Conference.

Marquardt will return to the track this weekend near his hometown of Pasadena, California when he runs in the Mt. SAC Relays this Friday at Mount San Antonio College.
