Woods Paces Men's Track in 5000m at Danny Curran Invite

CHESTER, Pa. – The Haverford Men's Outdoor Track and Field team battled rainy, wet conditions at the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday evening, with distance runners posting top times in the 5000m race. Henry Woods led the way for Haverford, finishing as the top attached runner in the distance with a time of 14:38.60, a career-best. 

Dylan Gearinger crossed in a career-best 14:54.86 to finish in third place overall. Greg Morgan was sixth in a career-best 14:58.18 while Jimmy Gorman crossed in a career-best 14:58.75 for seventh place. Graham Peet (15:01.69) finished ninth and Ryan Herlihy (career-best 15:01.74) was tenth overall. 

Charlie Hale crossed in 13th (career-best 15:08.39) and James Stadler was 16th (career-best 15:24.94) to round out the finalists for Haverford.

Charlie Marquardt '16 won the event as an unattached runner with a time of 14:31.26. 

The rest of the Haverford squad will be in action on Saturday, as the full meet slate begins on day two of the Danny Curran Invite. Events kick off for the day at 11:00 a.m.
