Men's Track & Field Slotted Fourth in CC Preseason Poll

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's outdoor track & field team has been picked fourth in the CC Preseason Poll, the Centennial Conference announced in a release on Thursday morning. Johns Hopkins enters the 2022 outdoor campaign carrying a seven-year title streak. 

Ursinus was tabbed to finish second with 56 points and the other first-place vote. Dickinson finished close behind in third place with 43 points, followed by Haverford (42), McDaniel (35) and Swarthmore (27) in the top six. Franklin and Marshall is projected to finish seventh with 23 points, while Muhlenberg (22) and Gettysburg (12) rounded out the poll in eighth through ninth, respectively.

The Fords are expected to garner at minimum another top four finish after earning fourth place at the indoor championships. Haverford earned six USTFCCCA All-Region certificates in the indoor campaign, as Jamie Moreland, Peter Buckley, and Ethan Gadra garnered inclusion on the All-Centennial Conference squads. Moreland broke the Centennial Conference meet record in the Mile after running a 4:10.26. 

Ursinus will be hosting the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Patterson Field from May 6 to May 8, 2022. Haverford opens the outdoor season on April 1 with the Danny Curran Invitational on the campus of Widener University.
