CHESTER, Pa. - The Haverford College men's outdoor track & field team competed in the 10,000 meters on the first night of the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener on Thursday. Senior Ryan Kredell continued his standout senior campaign with an impressive turn in his 2023 outdoor debut.

Kredell paced the field in 29:35.23. That time is second on Haverford's all-time outdoor list for the 10K, just behind program record-holder Seamus McElligott, who notched a 29:14.34 on April 25, 1991. Kredell is just the fifth Haverford athlete to run a sub-30 minute 10,000 meters, and is currently ranked second in all of Division III in the early part of the season.

Peter LaRochelle also notched a standout time, running a 30:30.71 in his 10k collegiate debut, while Aaron Bratt was the fourth to finish in a personal-best 30:31.39. Miles Colescott notched a seventh place finish in 31:13.70, also in his initial 10k foray. All three of those times are within the top 15 in the nation in the early part of the 2023 outdoor season.

The Fords will now continue the three-day Danny Curran Invitational on Friday, with 5,000-meter action on the track as well as a full slate of throwing events beginning at 5 p.m.
