Donnelly Named CC Cross Country Coach Of The Year

Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College men's cross country head coach Tom Donnelly was named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year by a vote of his peers, the conference office announced on Friday. The Award is the sixth overall cross country award for Donnelly and represents his third year in a row receiving the honor. In addition, senior Julian Schneider was named to the All-Sportsmanship team in his final cross country season.

Under the direction of Donnelly, who is in his 42nd season at the helm of the Fords, Haverford captured its 21st Centennial Conference Championship in 24 years. Henry Woods finished second in the conference race and was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team, adding to his career haul that already included a second team nod a season ago. Ryan Herlihy picked up All-Centennial Conference first team honors, the first such recognition of his career.

Jimmy Gorman picked up his second straight All-Centennial first team award while Dylan Gearinger, Graham Peet and Greg Morgan all were named to the second team, with Peet following up his rookie of the year campaign a season ago with a second consecutive All-Centennial plaudit. The Fords now have 95 Centennial Conference first-team selections in program history.

The No. 15 ranked Fords will look to qualify for the NCAA Championship this Saturday at the Mideast Regional in Center Valley, Pa. with a first or second place finish in the team race. The race is scheduled for noon.
