HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's cross country team will begin the 2022 season with the No. 18 national ranking, according to the Division III National Coaches Poll, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) announced in its annual preseason poll release earlier this week. In addition to the No. 18 national ranking, Haverford is also the top-ranked squad in the debut of the 2022 Metro Region rankings. Haverford is the reigning champion of that newly-formed region, picking up the inaugural title in 2021.

Haverford returns its top five, as the quintet of All-Centennial performers is led by two-time all-conference runner Ryan Kredell (2019 2nd team All-CC, 2021 1st team All-CC). Additional All-CC performers returning for Haverford include Max Brelig (2021 1st team All-CC), Peter Buckley (2021 2nd team All-CC), Jamie Moreland (2021 2nd team All-CC), and Nico Tripeny (2021 2nd team All-CC).

Johns Hopkins is ranked 23rd in the poll, the only other Centennial Conference squad to earn inclusion in the top 35 poll. Haverford is the only team in the Metro Region to garner a national ranking.

Head Coach Tom Donnelly's squad will get the 2022 campaign underway with the Alumni Open (Sept. 3) before hosting the Main Line Invitational on September 16. This season's Centennial Conference Championships will be hosted right here at Haverford on October 29.
