Morgan notches 400th career win as Fords drub Bryn Mawr, 58-33

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Head coach Bobbi Morgan won her 400th career game as the Haverford College women's basketball team defeated Bryn Mawr College, 58-33, in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams Tuesday evening at Schwartz Gymnasium. The Fords held Bryn Mawr to only six points in the first half which ties for the second-fewest allowed in a half in conference history.

All of Morgan's 400 wins have come – coincidentally – at Delaware County area schools. Her first 326 came at The Academy of Notre Dame and Haverford High School. The last 74 have come at Cabrini College and now Haverford.

Nina Voith scored a game-high 17 points and dished out four assists. Calla Miller went 4-for-4 from the field, making all three of her three-point attempts en route to 11 points. Dominique Meeks scored seven points, grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and had four steals.

Lindsey Darvin led Bryn Mawr (1-2, 0-1 CC) with 15 points. Caroline Heffernan snared a team-high 10 boards.

Haverford (2-1, 1-0 CC) shot 52 percent from the field in the first half including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. The Fords opened the game on an 11-0 run that included a trey and a layup by Miller.

The Owls bounced back in the second half, shooting 42 percent from the field and scored 27 points. A 7-0 run early in the second helped Bryn Mawr get the deficit to 20 points.

The Fords return home Tuesday to host Washington College at 7 p.m.
