Women's Basketball Hosts Alumnae Game

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's basketball team welcomed several former players back to campus on Saturday, February 11 for the annual alumnae game. The returning Fords then watched the current team play McDaniel at the Gooding '84 Arena, followed by a reception in the GIAC.

The contest, which pitted alumnae versus alumnae featured a bevy of alumnae: Abby Scattergood '07, Kathleen Abels '09, Alejandra Alvarez '11, Victoria Sobocinski '13, Calla Miller '13, Olivia Walsh '16, Sarah Nagle '06, Elizabeth Mayell '11, Meaghan Ryan '11, Hope Rainey '14, Jacquelyne Pizzuto '15, Rachel Baskin '14, Elizabeth Lynch '15, Meredith Schoyer '13, Brianna Robbins '15, Nina Voith '14 and Mai-Khoi Nguyen '08.

Haverford clinched the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament after a 57-46 win over McDaniel on Senior Day at the Gooding '84 Arena on the Haverford Campus.  The current Fords will return to action on Wednesday, February 15 against Swarthmore at Gooding '84 Arena. Game time is slated for 6:00 p.m. with the men's game against the Garnet scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in a Hood Trophy doubleheader that serves as the regular season finale for the women's program.
