MAHWAH, N.J. – The Haverford College women's basketball team (2-1) secured a commanding 80-45 victory over the Ramapo Roadrunners (0-4) on Saturday afternoon at the Bradley Center on the campus of Ramapo College.

The Fords came out firing in the first quarter, jumping to a 9-2 lead in the opening minutes. During a two-and-a-half-minute scoring run, Haverford shot 4-of-6 from the field, including a three-pointer, with Brianna Feifer contributing seven of the team's first nine points.

The Fords continued their strong performance throughout the quarter, edging the Roadrunners 11-8 in the remaining minutes. Haverford shot 50 percent from the field and connected on both of their three-point attempts in the stretch. Caroline Orza added seven crucial points to close out the quarter, helping the Fords secure a 20-10 advantage after the first 10 minutes.

In the second quarter, the Scarlet and Black extended their lead to 32-15 with a 12-5 scoring run. Audrey Jakway dominated this stretch, scoring 10 of the 12 points, while Haverford made four of seven shots, including two three-pointers. Following a Ramapo timeout at the 5:32 mark, the Fords maintained their efficiency, shooting 50 percent for the rest of the quarter. However, the Roadrunners showed some resilience, closing the half with an 8-5 run. Despite this push, Haverford entered halftime with a comfortable 37-23 lead.

The Fords outscored the Roadrunners 14-2 in the paint during the first half, with two players already in double figures. Jakway led the way with 13 points, followed closely by Orza with 11.

Much like the first quarter, Haverford started strong in the third, opening with a 9-2 scoring run. Shooting 4-of-6 from the field and connecting on one of two three-point attempts, the Fords extended their lead to 46-25, prompting a Ramapo timeout at the 6:42 mark. The timeout did little to disrupt Haverford's momentum, as the visitors continued their dominance, outscoring Ramapo 12-5 for a 58-30 lead heading into the final quarter. Jakway remained a force, contributing five more points, including her third and final three-pointer of the game.

In the fourth quarter, Haverford outscored Ramapo 22-15. The Fords shot 8-of-15 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, with eight different players scoring. Jakway capped off a career-best performance with four additional points, finishing with a game-high 26. Feifer, Orza, Siena Emuobor, Ashley Peterson, Lily Zawisny, Shae Mercer, and Cayla Menicola also contributed in the final stretch, sealing the 80-45 victory.

Haverford displayed exceptional shooting throughout the game, finishing with a 50 percent success rate from the field and a remarkable 56 percent from three-point range. Although Haverford's annals necessitate a 10-made basket minimum, the performance on nine made triples eclipsed the pace of the program record for three-point shooting percentage, set on January 12, 2019 against McDaniel. Jakway's 26 points led all scorers, while Orza and Feifer chipped in 16 and 10 points, respectively. Shae Mercer had a standout performance on the stat sheet, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out nine assists.

The Fords will conclude their three-game road trip with a non-conference matchup against Lancaster Bible on Tuesday, November 19. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
