Four Earn Placement on CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College women's basketball juniors Brianna Feifer and Caroline Orza, along with sophomores Shae Mercer and Audrey Jakway, were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon.

The 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To earn All-District honors, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, have reached their sophomore year at their institution, and be a key contributor to their team's athletic season by playing in at least 90% of total games or starting in 66% of those games.

Feifer, from Frederick, Maryland, started all 25 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 8.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. She recorded a career-high 21 points against Rosemont and grabbed a season-best 11 rebounds at Washington College. Feifer finished the season shooting 40.0% from the field and 77.8% from the free-throw line.

Orza, from Chevy Chase, Maryland, played in all 25 games, starting 21, and averaged 12.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. She led the team in three-pointers made (48) and scored a career-high 29 points against Eastern. Orza also recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds at Neumann and finished the season shooting 71.2% from the free-throw line.

Mercer, from Graham, Texas, started all 25 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 7.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and a team-high 4.2 assists per game. She recorded a career-best nine assists at Ramapo and posted a double-double with 16 points against Bryn Mawr. Mercer also led the team in steals (32) and finished with a 35.9% three-point shooting percentage.

Jakway, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, started 24 of 25 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 13.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. She led the team in rebounding and recorded a career-high 26 points at Ramapo. She posted a season-best 14 rebounds at Bryn Mawr and finished the year with 17 blocks and 33 steals.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 16.
