HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team (10-5, 6-2 CC), posted a strong performance in a 16-6 victory over Bryn Mawr (6-10, 0-8 CC) on a rainy Wednesday evening at Swan Field, clinching at least the three seed and a home game in next week's Centennial Conference tournament.

Haverford built an 11-1 halftime advantage before cruising to the victory. Sam Silverman added four goals, while Tiffany Mikulis had a strong turn in the midfield yet again, adding three goals, an assist, a ground ball, and two draw controls. Kylie McNamara had a breakout game, with a pair of goals to her ledger.

Defensively, Eva Baumann was a force with four ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. Annie Bravacos was credited with the win between the pipes, making five saves in the first half before giving way to Rachel Marlin for the second period of action, as Marlin added a pair of saves.

Early tallies from Mikulis and Ference set the tone for the Fords, before Ference found McNamara down low for the third goal of the contest. Silverman tallied two more times in the first period, and Mikulis ran towards goal and easily deposited the sixth goal of the contest at the end of the first.

Haverford added five of the next six, with a bevy of contributors including Belal Gattuso and Julia Curran finding the back of the cage to head into halftime with the running clock triggered. Mikulis opened the second-half slate with a goal off an assist from Nancy Tucker. Tucker, who was everywhere on Wednesday, made her impact felt with a game-high two assists and a player-down goal with 1:35 left in the third.

Kylie Kearon and Reilly Curran got on the scoreboard, lighting the lamp in the second half, while Reilly Curran teamed up with Brooke Epstein for Haverford's final tally.

For the Owls, Camille Franklin did well to bring her team back in the waning moments of the game, tallying four goals in the span of about 10 minutes to pull the Owls back within nine. Maddie Sullivan and Maya DiFrischia were the other goal scorers for Bryn Mawr.  The Owls won the draw control battle, 15-9, but Haverford scooped 16 ground balls and fired 33 shots to control much of the possession despite the deficit in the draw circle. Bryn Mawr turned the ball over 14 times and connected on just nine clears.

The Fords will now turn their attention to Saturday's Senior Day game against Hood Trophy rival Swarthmore. Haverford will honor the Class of 2023 prior to first draw, with festivities expected to begin about 20 minutes before the 12 p.m. opening draw time.
