
HAVERFORD, Pa. - For the second consecutive season, and the third time in four years, the No. 19 Haverford College women's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
The Fords (14-5) will travel to Salisbury, Md. and Sea Gull Stadium for an NCAA First Round contest against the Seahawks of St Mary's College of Maryland (10-7), the champions of the United East Conference for the fourth consecutive season. This is the second consecutive year the Fords will play in Salisbury for its first-round matchup. The 2025 campaign marks Haverford's seventh appearance in the NCAA tournament (1986, 87, 88, 1991, 2022, 24, 25) overall, second consecutive, and third in four seasons. In 2025, Haverford has ealready earned its most wins in a single season since the 1986 campaign, matching the program record.
The Fords and Seahawks are no stranger, with some recent matchups on the docket including a 16-12 triumph by the Fords during the 2022 season in a game played during driving snow squalls. Senior Tiffany Mikulis added two goals in that contest. Haverford is 1-3 all-time against St. Mary's (Md.) all time, as this will be the first neutral site meeting between the two schools.
Haverford has not matched up with Salisbury since the 1989 season, and last claimed victory over the Sea Gulls in April of 1988 at Haverford.
The 2025 NCAA Division III National Championship is slated for Sunday, May 25 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va. More information on the NCAA tournament, including game times, ticket information and a full preview, will be available later this week.
