SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Haverford College women's track & field team had one final opportunity to leave its mark on the national performance list as the Fords competed at Swarthmore's Last Chance Qualifier on Monday night. Eight different Fords entered the meet on the women's side as Haverford saw half of those athletes earn personal bests in their respective events.

Haverford's biggest race of the night came in the 1,500 meters as three Fords set new personal bests. Sophie Drew came into the night ranked in the top 50 nationally for that event and moved up to No. 31 in all of Division III with her new personal best time of 4:38.08. That mark is the seventh fastest in school history. Drew will now have to wait out the remaining last chance meets around the country as the top 22 declared individuals make nationals on the women's side. However, athletes can scratch an event which could move Drew up the national leaderboard.

Jolie Jaycobs (4:45.08) and Griffin Kaulbach (4:45.95) also set new career best times in that same event while Amalia Axinn finished the 1,500 meter race in a time of 5:04.87. Unique Tuberville set Haverford's other personal best on the evening as her best shot put was marked at 10.85 meters (35'-7.25"). That mark strengthens her hold on ninth place in the school record books and was nearly a six inch improvement from her previous best.

Jessica Lopez turned in a pair of top 10 finishes as she competed in both the 100 meter (12.68 seconds) and 200 meter (26.51) dashes. Tess Oberholtzer added another top 10 finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.45 seconds while Marly Banatte ran the 800 meters and finished with a time of 2:34.73.

NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field national qualifiers will be announced in an NCAA.com press release this Saturday, May 18 at 9 a.m.
