HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Izzy Miller was named to the 2021-22 Academic All-District® Women's Cross Country/Track & Field team. Selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), this award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.

Previously, Miller was named an Ambler Scholar Athlete as well as the Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) Academic All-Area Performer of the Year. Miller, of Haddonfield, N.J. was named an All-American after a 28th overall finish at the NCAA National Championships in Louisville last fall. She also picked up Metro Athlete of the Year honors, becoming Haverford's first individual regional champ since the 1996 season when Meredith Unger accomplished that feat.

In total, Miller is Haverford's sixth individual champion in a regional meet, and the first to top the field in a year where the Fords were a team champion. Earlier in the season, Miller also placed first at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle in 21:33.8 and Haverford's own three-miler, the Main Line Invitational, in 17:26.6. She also was named first-team All-Centennial Conference after a runner-up finish at the Centennial Conference Championships in 21:57.5.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
