The Haverford College Department of Athletics celebrated its proud history on Friday night as six new members and one team were inducted into the Thomas Glasser ’82 Hall of Achievement.
Third baseman Spencer Sohmer and starting pitcher Justin Herring receive the accolade after their outstanding seasons in which they helped the Fords reach the NCAA Regional Tournament with their win in the Centennial Conference Championship.
Herring posted the best ERA in the Centennial Conference this season at 1.58. His 67 punchouts ranked him fifth in the conference. He was also third in wins, sporting a perfect 7-0 record.
The Fords had 91 student-athletes recognized on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring season - the most of any school in the conference.

The Fords have won their last five games, including their opening Centennial Conference Tournament matchup with McDaniel on Thursday. In their last three games alone, they hold a +39 run differential.
The Haverford College baseball team (24-12, 13-5 CC) has qualified for the Centennial Conference tournament for the ninth consecutive year and 11th time in 12 years.
