Men's Squash Suffers Loss to Tufts

HAVERFORD, Pa. -  The Haverford College men's squash team dropped a 6-3 decision to the Tufts University Jumbos at the GIAC Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Alex Liu registered the first point for the Fords with a 3-2 victory at the No. 9 position. Liu scored a 13-11 triumph in game one to take an early lead and then followed with an 11-7 win in game three and 11-8 conquest in game five. Sophomore Peter Dudley was victorious at the No. 2 ladder position in five games. The sophomore won 11-4 in game one, 11-8 in game three and 11-6 in game five. Freshman Ryan Dukarm became the third Ford to win its match in five games as he came back from a 2-0 deficit to record the point for Haverford.  

Senior Alex Egilman dropped a tough five-game loss (12-10, 9-11, 9-11, 11-6, 6-11). Senior Jonathan Nguyen won the second game of his match, but ultimately lost, 3-1 (11-5, 7-11, 11-6, 11-6).

With the loss, the men's squash team fell to 4-4 on the season. Both squash teams will take a break before the annual alumni/ae matches begin the 2016 portion of the schedule on January 15th.
