HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's squash team will travel to New Haven, Conn. to take part in the Chaffee Cup of the College Squash Association's (CSA) Team Championships from Friday through Sunday. It is the third year in a row that the Fords were drawn into the Chaffee Cup.

The CSA Team Championships include 64 teams grouped into eight divisions based on their final regular season rankings. Teams ranked No. 33-40 participate in the Chaffee Cup.

Ranked No. 35, Haverford will play No. 38 Fordham University to begin the tournament. The winner of that match will play the winner of No. 34 Conn. College and No. 39 University of Chicago. Other teams in the Chaffee Cup include Tufts University (33), New York University (36), Georgetown University (37), and Lehigh University (40).

For the Fords, their match against Fordham will serve as a rematch from the regular season. Haverford took that match in a tight 5-4 victory. After being tied at four wins apiece, the Rams defaulted their final match to give Haverford the win.

Haverford ended its regular season with an 8-11 record, but finished strong and currently carry a three-game winning streak into the CSA Team Championships. The Fords' final two wins came against Georgetown and NYU, who are both also in the Chaffee Cup. Sophomore Zach Cole led the team in wins with 11 while freshman Ryan Dukarm also reached double-digit wins with 10.

The first round gets under way this Friday at 3:15 p.m. when the Fords face the Fordham Rams at Wesleyan University and continues through the weekend.
