HAVERFORD, Pa. - Returning to home action for the first time in 2022, the No. 30 Haverford College men's squash team (5-6) took down visiting No. 35 Bucknell (3-1) at the GIAC Squash Courts, as spectators were allowed back to fire up the home team for the first time since a string of mid-November matches.

In the first round of matches to finish, it was Peter Lehv getting the better of Andre Giglio in a hard-fought battle at the second flight. Giglio grabbed the second game to tie Lehv at a game apiece, but Lehv used extra points in consecutive games, rattling off 13-11 and 12-10 victories to put a tally in the Haverford column.

Ben Schiltz had little trouble with Teddy Donohue at the fifth flight in a sweep allowing just eight total points, and Aaron Witkin similarly had a solid performance at the ninth flight against Linus Maurer, allowing only 11 total points in a sweep of the Bison opposition.

At the top flight, Quinton Crawford shook off a second game loss to rattle off consecutive 11-3 game wins to tally for the Fords. Minor Reedich swept Cooper Pearce at the fourth flight, and Garrett Fantini dispatched Cameron Hill allowing just nine total points to the Bison player.

John Collins shook off an 11-8 loss in the first game to put together a string of three consecutive victories over Natty Dunn at the sixth spot, and Alden Weinberg put together a solid performance in his sweep of Tarquin Hanson at the seventh (11-8, 11-3, 11-6).

The last match to finish saw Noah Tunis getting the best of David Hitzrot in a 13-11, 11-6, 11-7 sweep after Hitzrot proved to be a formidable foe at the third flight, taking Tunis to extra points as spectators from both sides made their way to court three for the conclusion of the day's action. In the exhibition slot, Zadoc Bond swept past Eli Webb.

Haverford has now won its sixth consecutive match over Bucknell, and the second consecutive 9-0 sweep in the series. Haverford is 6-4 all-time against the Bison.

Haverford returns to action on Saturday, February 12 taking on No. 24 Dickinson (10:30 a.m.) and No. 14 Franklin & Marshall (3:30 p.m.) as the Centennial Conference Round Robin comes to the GIAC Squash Courts for the first time in the history of the event. Haverford will honor seniors Minor Reedich, Aaron Witkin and Alden Weinberg prior to first serve with the Red Devils.
