PHILADELPHIA - The 30th-ranked Haverford College men's squash team fell to No. 29 Wesleyan by an 8-1 final as Men's Collegiate Team Championships action continued at the Penn Squash Center on Saturday morning. The Fords (6-10) registered their match win at the top flight, with Quinton Crawford putting a tally on the Haverford side of the column in the second round of contests to hit the courts.

Wesleyan (6-8) looked aggressive in the early goings, finding its greatest success at the sixth and eighth spots on the ladder as the Cardinals picked up wins via sweep at both those positions to begin the day. Noah Tunis was then locked in a tough battle at the second flight, falling victim to a solid comeback from Abhinav Gupta after taking the second and third games with relative ease.

Crawford's sweep at the top flight helped bring some momentum back in the Haverford direction, as the top Haverford player made quick work of Shanay Sanghabvi in 11-4, 11-7, and 11-7 games. Crawford is now 8-8 at the top flight this season, and will look to finish the season with a winning record on Sunday.

Minor Reedich fell victim to a reverse sweep at the fourth flight, opening up with tempo-setting 11-8 and 11-6 victories before Yan found a second gear, rallying back from the brink for the victory with three consecutive game wins. Ben Schiltz also opened his match at the fifth flight with a victory over Jack Lungstrum before the Wesleyan player responded with three consecutive triumphs.

The Fords will now wrap up the team season with Sunday action against No. 31 Connecticut College. The 10:30 a.m. matchup will shift back to the Specter Center as the two sides will square off for the second time this season. In December. Haverford registered an emphatic 6-3 win over the Camels, the first victory for the Fords over Conn. College since the 2017-18 season.
