HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Garret Fantini (Greenwich, Conn.) earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll for Feb. 3, the conference office announced Monday.
Fantini posted a perfect 2-0 record on Senior Day at the GIAC Squash Courts. He first defeated Peter Vorbach of 32nd-ranked Hobart at the No. 6 spot, rallying from a first-game loss to win 8-11, 14-12, 11-5, 11-3. Fantini battled back in the second game to claim the victory in extra points and then dominated, holding the Statesmen player to just eight points across the final two games.
Fantini then reversed an earlier season loss to Vassar's Razaan Lalji, sweeping the late afternoon match at number six, 11-8, 11-2, 11-6.
Fantini and the Fords will face Vassar again in the opening round of the Liberty League Championships on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10:30 a.m. in Canton, N.Y., at St. Lawrence University. Fans can follow the tournament through the 2025 Liberty League Squash Tournament central page.
