HAVERFORD, Pa. – After an impressive showing in the Conroy Cup at the 2025 College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships in Philadelphia, Haverford College men's squash first-year Tarun Sargunar (Johns Creek, Ga. / Northview) has earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll.
Competing at the fifth flight, Sargunar posted a perfect 3-0 record during the CSA Divisional Championships. On Friday, he swept past Robert Cruikshank of No. 33 Fordham with an 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 victory, allowing just 11 total points across three games. In round-robin action against No. 32 Vassar, he dispatched Razaan Lalji in straight games (11-3, 13-11, 11-7) before capping off the weekend with a crucial 11-9, 10-12, 11-6, 11-4 win over No. 30 Denison in the Conroy Cup championship match.
Sargunar, previously named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week in November, wrapped up his rookie season with an 8-7 record, with Sunday's victory pushing him above the .500 mark.
Haverford concluded its season at 8-12, narrowly missing out on the Conroy Cup title but showcasing its competitive edge on the national stage against a talented Denison squad that was back at full strength. The Fords will look to build on their strong performances at both the Liberty League Championships and the CSA Divisional Championships in 2024-25 as they aim for another deep postseason run next year.
