Women's soccer pair tack on all-region honors to all-conference nods

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has released its All-Region teams with goalkeeper Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds and defender Maura Schiefer of the Haverford College women's soccer team earning third-team NCAA Division III All-Mid-Atlantic region honors.

Schiefer and Herrick-Reynolds, both seniors and second-team All-Centennial Conference players, made their marks in the defensive third of the field helping Haverford post a conference-low 14 goals allowed. Schiefer's defensive back line also helped net minder Herrick-Reynolds produce 10 shut outs during the year, second-most in the league.

Herrick-Reynolds registered a 12-5-1 record for the season allowing just 0.78 goals per game, a mark that is the second-lowest in team history (0.61, Lindsay Festa, 2005). The goalie collected eight shutouts and posted an .841 save percentage.

Haverford (12-5-1, 7-3 CC) finished third in the Centennial regular season standings earning a semifinal berth in the conference tournament. The Fords played second-seed and eventual tournament champion Johns Hopkins University to a 2-2 tie through regulation play and a pair of overtime sessions in the semifinal, but the Blue Jays advanced to the championship game via a 3-2 edge in shootout goals.
