KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Allie Chen, Kara McMahon and Mariah Baker  have merited inclusion to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA 2012 Scholar All-East Region Women's Soccer Team, as released by the organization Tuesday.

To be nominated to the scholar all-region squad, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team. Chen was named to the fourth team while McMahon and Baker earned honorable mention recognition.

Chen, a biology major, tallied 16 points from five goals and six assists during her senior campaign. Ranking fifth in the conference in scoring, Chen, a first-team Centennial Conference honoree, struck four game-winners during the year which was good for second both on the team and in the league.

Majoring in history, McMahon helped the Fords' defense hold their opponents to less than a goal per game as they captured the Centennial crown in her senior season.

Baker, a junior astrophysics major, patrolled the midfield for the Fords making 19 starts. She was in integral part of the Fords' counter-attack setting up the front line, and even added a scoring touch with a marker in each of Haverford's wins against Moravian and Washington.
