LANCASTER, Pa. – The NCAA-bound Haverford College women's soccer team placed four of its players on the 2013 All-Centennial Conference Team, as released by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

Seniors Meg Boyer and Elizabeth Newman were first-team selections, senior Mariah Baker was named to the second-team and junior Robin Chernow was voted honorable mention.

Boyer, a forward, sparks the Fords' attack with a team-leading eight goals, fifth-most in the conference, and 17 points. Her four game-winning goals also lead Haverford and is second-most amongst the league's leaders.

In her four-year career with the Fords Boyer has netted 16 game-winners, which is the most in program history. Her 30 goals are fifth all-time and Boyer's 75 points rank sixth on the career list.

This is Boyer's fourth all-conference nod after earning first-team honors in 2012, a second-team selection in 2010, and honorable mention in 2011.

Newman is a center-back in the Fords' second-to-last line of defense, spearheading a group of defenders that surrendered only 12 goals in 19 games and a paltry 0.63 goals against average. Newman's dominating presence also helped Haverford record 10 shutouts on the year.

This is Newman's second selection to the conference's first team (2011) and third overall after earning second-team honors last fall.

Baker, a midfielder, has been a key player in the Fords' transition game from their defensive end into the attacking third. She is third on the team in goals (3) and points (7) and has one game-winner. Her all-conference selection this fall is the senior's first.

Chernow worked the area between the pipes for Haverford, accumulating a league-leading 1,824 minutes in goal. Her goals-against average of 0.59 is second-lowest in the league and Chernow's save percentage of .850 is third-best. She is the goalie of record in eight of the Fords' 10 shutouts.

Chernow revisits the all-conference team after earning honorable mention in 2011.

All four of Haverford's all-conference honorees earned Centennial academic honor roll selections this fall. Newman is also a member of the conference's all-sportsmanship team in women's soccer.

Haverford continues its season Saturday, Nov. 16 in Williamstown, Mass., where it will play Keene (N.H.) State University in a first-round match-up in the NCAA 2013 Division III national tournament.
