Jo Haller Honored on NSCAA Scholar All-East Region Team

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Jo Haller has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-East Region team as recently announced by the national coaches association. An award that combines success on the field with excellence in the classroom, Haller earned third-team recognition for the honor that spanned Division III, NAIA and NCCAA teams.

Haller's third-team honor matches her all-region placement after a standout senior season. In addition to being recognized on that list, the Fords' senior captain was also a second-team All-Centennial Conference selection. As the offensive catalyst for the team, Haller led the Fords in every offensive category with 10 goals, 26 points, 59 shots, 32 shots on goal, and five game-winning goals. She was also tied the team lead with six assists. As one of six players to start all 17 matches for Haverford, Haller recorded a point in nine of those contests. Haverford was 9-2 overall on the year when she recorded either a goal or an assist.

A Biology major in the classroom, Haller has previously earned mention on the Centennial Conference's Academic Honor Roll. Excelling in the classroom has also become a consistent theme for the women's soccer program. The Fords have received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for cumulative team GPA in each of the past 10 seasons.

Haverford won 11 games during the 2015 season. The Fords have now won 10 or more games in six of the past seven seasons. Haller and fellow senior Lexi Williams will graduate from Haverford this spring as a part of 42 victories during their athletic careers. That success includes a Centennial Conference Championship in 2012 and back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
