HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's soccer team is riding a streak of four straight shutout victories and is starting to gain national recognition as the Fords are receiving votes in the latest D3Soccer.com Top 25 Poll. The Fords (4-1, 1-0 CC) received 13 voting points in the latest poll.

Haverford posted a pair of victories last week with a 2-0 win against Eastern on Walton Field before a hard-fought 1-0 win in the Centennial Conference opener at Dickinson. Haverford got goals from Hannah Krapes and Leanne Ludwick in the win against Eastern while Kendra Griesman tallied the lone goal in the win against Dickinson.

The Fords have allowed just one goal this season, which came in the season opener against Arcadia. Haverford has recorded four shutouts in a row 10 different times in program history. Just once, during the 1996 season, has Haverford recorded five consecutive shutouts. Goalie Kathy Prescott was recently recognized for the team's success as she was named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Women's soccer will have two more chances to make an impression on the voters this week as the Fords will host DeSales on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Haverford has won this match up in each of the last three seasons with a 1-0 win on the road in 2015. The Fords will travel to Stevenson on Saturday for a 7 p.m. showdown under the lights. A back-and-forth series, the teams are 1-1-1 all-time since they started playing in 2013. Haverford got its win in the series last year with a 1-0 victory on Walton Field.

The D3Soccer.com Top 25 Poll is released every Tuesday throughout the regular season.
