FORDS FLASHBACK: Schneck Reaches Milestone in OT Win vs. DeSales

Over the course of the summer, Haverford Athletics will continue to dig into the archives to bring you a "Fords Flashback"

September 21, 2016

Recap | Box Score

Head women's soccer coach Jamie Schneck owns the highest winning percentage of any coach in the program history. Schneck achieved her 100th career victory in classic style during this overtime clash with DeSales during the 2016 season. The Fords never trailed throughout the contest and held a 22-6 advantage in shots. Haverford also held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks in controlling the tempo of the match. Fittingly enough, it was that 10th corner of the contest that provided the game-winner as Katie Safter '19 scored on a header just 4:21 into the overtime period. Anna Dekle '18 scored the go-ahead goal for the Fords early in the second half of the 2-1 victory. Schneck's first 13 seasons with the Fords include 11 Centennial Conference Tournament appearances, three NCAA Tournament appearances, and one Centennial Conference Championship. Her career record of 134-68-35 is just one why shy of tying the school record originally set by current Haverford College Director of Athletics Wendy Smith '87.
