Lauren Walker joined the Haverford College women’s soccer coaching staff as the goalkeeping coach during the 2019 season. Active in coaching since her graduation from Tri-Co neighbor Swarthmore College in 2009, Walker worked with the Garnet’s goalie from her graduation in 2009 up until the 2015 season. She also spent the 2018 season at Williamson College of the Trades in Media, Pa.

Walker was a standout goalkeeper for the Garnet from 2006-09. While coaching at Swarthmore, Walker also worked with the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) Olympic Development Program as a goalkeepers coach.

As a goalkeeper, Walker was a central force during her tenure, leading the Garnet to consecutive ECAC Championships and the Centennial Conference playoffs three straight years.  In her junior season for the Garnet, Walker was named D3soccer.com All-American and was ranked second in the country in save percentage (0.915) and goals against average (0.27).

Walker was named all-region and received three All-Centennial selections during her four years at Swarthmore, setting school records for shutouts (28) and goals-against average (0.70). The MVP of the 2008 ECAC South Region Championship, Walker also holds Centennial Conference records for shutouts in a season (10) and lowest GAA in a season (0.27).

Walker graduated from Swarthmore College in 2009 with a degree in psychobiology. Following her graduation, Walker was picked up by AC Diablos of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
