Women's Track & Field Competes at TCNJ Lions Invitational

EWING, N.J. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team competed at the Lions Invitational on the campus of The College of New Jersey on Saturday. The Fords had limited entrants into the with the Centennial Conference Championships looming next weekend.

The Fords' highest finish came in the 4x100 meter relay as the team of Marisa Antinori, Taylor Murphy, Tess Oberholtzer, and Kerry Quigley finished in a time of 50.80 seconds. Oberholtzer also placed 15th in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 16 seconds flat, while Antinori placed 27th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.27 seconds.

The 1,500 meters saw four entrants for the Fords with Nicole Giannetti's sixth place finish in a time of 4:51.34 highlighting that event. Mariana Ramirez (5:11.49), Mckenna Krall (5:25.78), and Michelle Luu (5:47.18) also contested the 1,500 meters. Katie Sullivan also turned in a top 10 finish in the 800 meters as she was ninth with a time of 2:17.84. Julia Smith (2:39.12) and Sarah Wade (2:49.21) also entered that event for the Fords.

In the 400 meters, Amy Zamora (1:05.88) and Grace Pindzola (1:07.11) placed 31st and 37th, respectively. Grace Mathis was the Fords' only field entrant as she placed 16th with a clearance of 2.80 meters.

The Centennial Conference Championships will get underway next Friday, May 5 on the campus of Johns Hopkins and continue through Sunday. The Fords have taken third in each of the last two outdoor conference championships.
