COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Haverford College women's track & field team continued the three-day Centennial Conference Championship weekend at Ursinus on Saturday. Day two was mostly preliminary rounds and Haverford came away with stellar performances slotting themselves in the fourth spot in team standings with 33 points.

Kayla Robinson continued her action in the Heptathlon and walked away a Centennial Conference champion for the second consecutive season. In a dominating performance, Robinson scored 4,403 points and won by nearly 300 points, competing in the long jump, javelin, and 800-meter run on Saturday. She took the win in the long jump, jumping 5.35 meters (17 feet, 6.75 inches), third in the javelin (29.18 meters/ 95 feet, 1 inch), and first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.48. Robinson's performance moved her up to second on Haverford's all-time list for the Heptathlon.

Jahsaiah Moses kicked off her day two of Championships in the 100-meter dash prelims with a personal best effort of 12.56. The senior heads into finals with the fourth-best time and just 0.13 seconds behind the top qualifier in Swarthmore's Krystle Boadi.

Ally Landau put in one of the most dominating performances of the season in her preliminary heat of the 400-meter dash. Landau crossed the finish line in 57.79 and is only the second Haverford athlete to break 58 seconds in program history. She is second all-time in the event and finished as the top qualifier heading into finals on Sunday. Her teammate, Olivia D'Aulerio was the third fastest qualifier, running 58.98 to win her heat.

In the 800 meters, Isabel Thornberry narrowly missed a spot in the final, finishing in 2:20.01, the 11th-fastest time in prelims. She missed a spot by just under a second but she will certainly be called upon in Sunday's 4x400 action. Dominique Monroy finished 14th with a time of 2:24.54.

Moses returned to the track and solidified a spot in the 400-meter hurdle finals for Sunday. Moses finished third in her heat and crossed the finish in 1:08.80, the fifth-fastest qualifier overall.

Rachel November also competed in the event as the final qualifier to earn a lane in Sunday's final. November raced to a 1:11.21, 0.04 seconds faster than her previous personal best set last week. Abby Ryan also finished ninth with a time of 1:12.65.

Landau put in another all-time performance later in the meet, this time in the 200-meter dash. Landau finished second in her heat but ran the third fastest time in prelims. The junior ran 25.70, second in program history and just 0.09 seconds off the program record of 25.61. Competitors will certainly have their hands full on Sunday as a Landau double looks doable after her Saturday.

D'Aulerio also returned to the track to take on the 200 meters and finished first in her heat to earn an automatic qualifier for Sunday's final. The first-year broke the line in 26.09 and was the seventh fastest time of the qualifier heats.

Robinson's day came to a close after she finished second in the long jump with a leap of 5.75 meters (18 feet, 10.5 inches). Those keeping up with the senior will know that her distance at championships broke her own program record by three inches. A jump of that distance was certainly needed as she moved up from 19th in Division III this year to 12th, as she is looking for a chance to head to NCAA Championships.  For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes are accepted into the competition. Robinson is also 13th in Division III for the Heptathlon.

Sarah Wilcher scored more points for the Fords after a fifth-place finish in the discus, throwing  36.44 meters (119 feet, 6 inches). She only needed her first throw to earn a personal best as her previous best was 35.16 meters.

Haverford will head into tomorrow's action fourth in team points with 33 points after eight scored events. The final day of the Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will showcase the tremendous talent fans already witnessed in the preliminary rounds.
