Robinson Marks NCAA Championships Debut With Long Jump

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Haverford women's track & field senior Kayla Robinson made her NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship debut on Thursday evening in Rochester, New York at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex on the campus of St. John Fisher University. 

Robinson went into the 2023 national championships as the program record holder in the long jump. The Bristol, Conn. product entered action on Thursday as the 16th seed with a jump of 5.77 meters. On Thursday, she jumped 5.27 meters (17 feet, 3.5 inches) to place 19th overall after three attempts.

Robinson will now prepare for Saturday, where she will participate in the triple jump, an event that she comes into the weekend ranked 19th in. She also holds the program record in that event (11.93 meters). Triple jump competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
