Amelia Keyser-Gibson '18 Qualifies for 2023 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Haverford women's track & field alum Amelia Keyser-Gibson '18 has qualified for the women's 1,500 meters at the United States Track & Field Championships, slated for Thursday, July 6 to Sunday, July 9 at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

The best track and field athletes in the country will converge on "Tracktown USA" to compete to qualify for August's IAAF World Championships in Budapest. The meet is used to pick the top three US qualifiers for the event in the capital of Hungary, as well as qualifiers for the 2023 Pan American games in Santiago, Chile. 

Keyser-Gibson, who currently runs for Cascadia Elite out of the Pacific Northwest, will contest the 1,500 meters on Thursday night at 7:26 p.m. PT (10:26 ET), running in the final of three heats among some of the nation's top middle distance runners.

The Bainbridge Island, Wash. product was an All-American in the DMR for Haverford during the 2016 indoor season, and was named All-Mideast Region on two occasions, in addition to three Centennial Conference first-team selections during the indoor campaign. During the cross country fall slate, she was a three-time NCAA championship qualifier as well as a three-time All-Mideast region selection, culminating with her 2017 senior campaign, turning in her 6K personal best at the national championships.
