Women's Track & Field Opens Outdoor Slate with Distance Events at Danny Curran Invite

CHESTER, Pa. -  The Haverford College women's track & field team opened up the 2024 outdoor campaign with distance events at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University.

In the 5,000 meters, Grace Chen was the 23rd place finisher in her outdoor collegiate debut, notching a time of 19:29.03, while Krysta Nichols crossed in 27th for a new career best time (19:38.46). In the 10,000 meters Julianna Watson crossed seventh overall in 42:08.15, while Audrey Carter was 16th in 44:45.98 as each were making their collegiate 10,000 meter debuts. 

Haverford now returns to action tomorrow with the full slate of action at the Danny Curran Invitational beginning at 10 a.m. with the women's pole vault (10 a.m.)
