Full Centennial Conference Release
HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford women's track & Field had two athletes selected to the All-Centennial Conference teams, as sophomore Sarah Wilcher earned a second-team selection, and sophomore Olivia D'Aulerio picked an honorable mention, as announced by the Centennial Conference office Friday morning.
To earn an all-conference selection, an athlete has to finish in first, second, or third in their respective competition. All first place individuals are named to the first-team, second place individuals to the second-team, and third place individuals are honorable mention.
Wilcher made Haverford history in the hammer throw on day two of the four-day championship, as the sophomore launched the hammer 47.25 meters (155 feet), to break the school record for furthest throw. The impressive toss surpassed Unique Tuberville '20, who hurled the hammer 129 feet and 11 inches back in 2019.
D'Aulerio also had a historic day for the Scarlet and Black, as the sophomore earned bronze in the 400 meters, zooming to a time of 58.14. The fantastic pace moved D'Aulerio up to second all-time in the Haverford history books for the 400 meters, just behind Christina Neilson '11, who dashed to a time of 57.13 in 2011.
In addition to the selections, Ella Fleming was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
Haverford will next be in action on the track at the Widener Final Qualifier Meet, which is slated for Monday, May 13 with events starting at approximately 1 p.m. in Chester, Pa. The NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled for May 24-26 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
