Izzy Miller Named Centennial Conference Runner of the Week

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Izzy Miller has been named the Centennial Conference Runner of the Week after winning the Rowan Border Battle on Saturday afternoon.

Miller took home the individual title in the Rowan Border Battle on the course at Gloucester County DREAM Park on Saturday afternoon, pacing the field of 275 with a time of 21:33.8. The performance helped lead the 32nd-ranked Fords to a fourth place finish in the team standings, ahead of conference foes No. 7 Dickinson and Swarthmore.

Miller's career-best time was more than eight seconds faster than the second place finisher, Ashley Heidenrich of Johns Hopkins. Miller, a South Jersey native, took her first intercollegiate title with the impressive performance.

Haverford was competing at the Rowan-hosted meet for the first time since the 2017 campaign when they also finished in fourth. The meet served as a course preview as the inaugural Metro Region championships will be held at the same course on November 13.

A contingent from Haverford will be right back in action on Friday, October 22 at home for the Haverford Invitational at 4:30 p.m. That meet is the final tune-up for the Fords before the Centennial Conference Championships, which will be hosted by Johns Hopkins on Saturday, October 30. The women's race is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
