HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford sophomore Katie Hirsche logged a seventh place finish to pace the Haverford College Women's Cross Country team in the 2022 Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday at the Alumni Cross Country Course on the Haverford campus.

By virtue of a top seven finish, Hirsche was named First-team All-Centennial Conference. Haverford finished ninth in the team standings on the afternoon. Hirsche was at the head of the pack through the first split, and finished with a time of 22:27.3. This is the second consecutive season that Haverford has earned a first-team All-Conference nod as Izzy Miller finished second overall a season ago at Johns Hopkins.

Following Hirsche was Krysta Nichols, who crossed in 59th overall in 25:37.10. Sophia Furman was the next Haverford runner to cross the finish in 78th (27:08.4), while Audrey Carter notched an 80th-place finish (27:16.9) and Annemarie Wood rounded out the Haverford contingent in 28:16.

Johns Hopkins captured its 14th consecutive Centennial title, earning a perfect score of 15 points for just the second time in Centennial history. Dickinson finished second in the final team standings (80 points) with Swarthmore (99), Ursinus (100) and Gettysburg (109) rounding out the top five finishers on an ideal day for racing as weather conditions cooperated on a perfect fall day.

Women's Cross Country will return to action for the NCAA Metro Regional on Saturday, November 12 with the women's race slated for 11 a.m. at the DeSales-hosted meet. The regional race will feature seven individual entrants from each team with the top two squads earning automatic bids to the NCAA Championship. Haverford is the defending champion in the regional.
