LANCASTER, Pa. - The Centennial Conference is proud to announce the selection of 20 participants for the 26th Snell-Shillingford Symposium, which will be held in Baltimore from October 12-13, 2024. This year's symposium coincides with the National Convention for Women Leaders in Sports.
Named in honor of trailblazing coaches Eleanor Frost Snell and Jenepher Shillingford, the Snell-Shillingford Symposium has long served as a cornerstone event for fostering leadership among female student-athletes. Over the past 25 years, the symposium has empowered hundreds of women, providing them with tools to excel both in athletics and their professional careers.
This year's cohort comprises 20 participants from various colleges within the Centennial Conference. These individuals, selected for their remarkable leadership potential and dedication to learning, embody the spirit and values the symposium has upheld since its inception.
The 2024-25 theme, "EmpowHER to Lead, Lead to Empower," emphasizes women's empowerment and personal growth. The symposium will feature a panel led by the conference's Senior Woman Administrators and five dynamic sessions, covering topics such as mentorship, Title IX, leadership skills, platform building, and personal branding.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to attend the National Convention for Women Leaders in Sports, further enhancing their leadership journey with valuable networking and professional development experiences.
