NEW ORLEANS – The Haverford College women's cross country team has been recognized as a 2024 Division III All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced in a release this afternoon.

To earn this distinction, programs must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher and compete in at least five meets, with a minimum of five runners representing the school at each event. Haverford has earned the USTFCCCA Academic Team Award every year since 2007, a testament to the team's consistent academic excellence.

Additionally, four members of the team received individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors. This award recognizes student-athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent at an NCAA Regional meet. The honorees from Haverford include senior Dominique La Grenade (Garland, Texas) and sophomores Anastasia Jaycobs (Nantucket, Mass.), Grace Chen (Carlisle, Mass.), and Alice Sappenfield (San Francisco, Calif.).
