HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's outdoor track & field team has been selected third in the Centennial Conference, according to the conference office's annual preseason poll released Thursday morning.
The Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins were crowned at the top of the table with six first-place votes and 62 total points. The Blue Jays were followed by the Ursinus Bears in second (three first-place votes, 59 points), who are coming off their third-straight Centennial Conference title. Haverford slotted into third with 41 total voting points, before Dickinson and Muhlenberg tied for fourth place with 39 total voting points.
In sixth was McDaniel with 33 total voting points, followed by Hood Trophy Rival Swarthmore in seventh (20 points). Franklin & Marshall (17 points) and Gettysburg (14 points) earned eighth and ninth respectively, to round out the 2025 Centennial Conference Poll.
After placing fifth in the 2024 Centennial Conference Championships, that saw the Fords place five on the All-Centennial Conference teams, Haverford is ready to build off a 2024 season that was highlighted by a NCAA championship appearance by Reza Eshghi, who earned Second-Team All-American designation in the event. Coming off an Indoor Winter Track season where the senior finished as the national-runner up in the 3,000 meters, Eshghi is poised to end his Haverford career in style. Eshghi will be joined by senior Peter LaRochelle, who was an All-Centennial and All-Metro Region selection in 2024, before being named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third-Team Academic All-American.
The Fords begin their 2025 campaign on March 28, at the two-day Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener University.
