PHILADELPHIA - Two Haverford College Men's Track & Field athletes competed in the 126th edition of the Penn Relays on Thursday night at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, representing Haverford on the annual Distance Night under the bright lights.

Junior Jamie Moreland finished the College Men's 1,500-meter championship with a 24th place finish in 3:57.18. That time was good for seventh in his heat and fourth among Division III entrants as all of the entrants in the race from Division III schools hailed out of the Centennial Conference.

Moreland, who is currently 23rd in the nation in the event with his 3:50.65 time from last weekend's Widener Invite, will look for another crack at a national qualifying time at the Centennial Conference Championships next weekend.

Junior Ryan Kredell competed in the 5,000 meters later in the evening, finishing 66th overall with a time of 14:56.80. Kredell currently owns three Top 50 marks on the Division III qualifying list, with his 5,000-meter time from the Danny Curran Invitational on April 1 (14:31.66) currently sitting as the 33rd-fastest time in the nation at the distance.

The women's squad will now continue into Friday at the Penn Relays, with a 4x100 meter relay squad slated to compete at approximately 12:55 p.m as college division championship action continues. As for the men's team, Haverford will now turn its attention to the Centennial Conference Championships, slated for May 6-8 at Ursinus College.
