COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Haverford College men's track & field team concluded the second day of action at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Ursinus with a trio of scoring performances and several crucial qualifying marks in preliminary rounds. At the end of Day two, Haverford has accumulated 24 points, placing the Fords in sixth—just ahead of Franklin & Marshall (19).
Seamus Fraser delivered a standout performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, earning a silver medal to kick off the day for the Fords. His time of 9:23.96 added eight points to Haverford's total. Nicky Elias-Gillette finished 12th overall with a time of 10:37.82, just outside the scoring.
In the 400-meter prelims, Thomas Fendig qualified for Sunday's final with a third-place finish in 49.51 seconds. In the 110-meter hurdles prelims, Alex Geng placed 12th with a time of 18.45, missing the cut for Sunday's final.
In the 100-meter prelims, Niko Beros led the Haverford contingent, placing ninth overall with a new personal best of 11.03 seconds—also the fourth-fastest mark in program history. He narrowly missed qualifying for the final. Samuel Lin was 18th with a personal best of 11.26, followed by Nathan Ma in 30th (11.87).
In the long jump, Mark Tringas, Jackson Juzang, and Nathan Ma all represented Haverford. Tringas scored three points with a sixth-place leap of 6.57 meters (21 feet, 6.75 inches). Juzang placed 14th with a mark of 5.99 meters (19 feet, 8 inches), and Ma was 18th after clearing 5.70 meters (18 feet, 8.5 inches). Beros also competed in the 200-meter prelims, finishing 15th overall in 22.83 seconds.
Haverford added another three points in the 4x800-meter relay. The team of Reef Kirchner, Torin Pelton-Flavin, Reed Solomon, and Micah Lachman clocked a strong time of 8:03.45 to finish sixth overall.
A busy third and final day of competition is scheduled for tomorrow, featuring an all-finals slate beginning at 11 a.m. at Patterson Field on the Ursinus campus. Live video and results are available via the Championships Central page.
