HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College Men's Track & Field seniors Reza Eshghi and Peter LaRochelle have earned spots at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, as announced on Friday evening. The national meet will be held Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, May 24 at the SPIRE Institute. The top 22 declared student-athletes in each men's individual event qualified for the competition. Eshghi, the 2025 Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Year, will compete in the 5,000 meters after an illustrious outdoor campaign. LaRochelle will run the 10,000 meters after capturing the Centennial Conference title in the event two weeks ago. 

The 2025 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, Eshghi led the Fords at the conference meet with a gold medal in the 1500 meters and a silver in the 5,000 meters. After posting the top time in the Centennial (and sixth in Division III) in the 1500 meters with a 3:43.30 at the Paul Donahue Invitational on April 18, The Lincoln, Mass. local captured the conference title with a 3:53.91 in the final. He returned Sunday to take silver in the 5,000 meters in 14:30.74. His season-best in the 5,000 (14:08.96) ranks second in the Centennial and 13th in Division III.

LaRochelle, a distinguished distance runner, caps his standout career with his first appearance at a track & field national championships. He has twice earned All-America honors for cross country in addition to back-to-back Metro Region individual championships in cross country. The Great Barrington, Mass. product owns the third fastest 10,000-meter time in program history and the second fastest in Centennial Conference history. His seed time is currently eighth in Division III (29:37.96) at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on April 12. 

LaRochelle's race is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Eshghi will close out the men's individual events with the 5,000 meters at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
