HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's soccer was selected eighth in the Centennial Conference preseason poll, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Johns Hopkins received the top billing with 100 total points and all but one first-place vote. Swarthmore and McDaniel tied for second, each garnering 83 points. Rounding out the top five were Franklin & Marshall (79 points) and Dickinson (63 points).

Gettysburg (54 points) and Washington College (42 points) claimed sixth and seventh, respectively. Haverford secured 34 points to slot into eighth, followed by Ursinus (30 points), Muhlenberg (26 points), and Bryn Mawr (11 points).

Aiming for their first Centennial Conference tournament appearance since 2019, a year in which the Fords also made an NCAA tournament appearance, the Fords return their top four scorers from 2023, led by Grace Haskell and Keira Prince.

Haskell, a 2023 Second Team All-Centennial selection, tied for the team lead in goals (5) and points (13). She also ranked fifth in the conference with 51 total shots.

Prince, a 2023 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, mirrored Haskell's performance with 5 goals and 13 points. Additionally, she led the team with 31 shots and recorded the Fords' only hat trick in 2023.

Haverford will kick off its 2024 season on historic Walton Field on Friday, August 30, at 5 p.m. against Arcadia, before hosting the River Hawks of Susquehanna on Sunday, September 1, at 1 p.m.

All Haverford home matches will be streamed live on the Centennial Conference Digital Network, accessible via their mobile app, website, and streaming applications for various devices. Fans can follow HaverfordAthletics.com and @HCFords_Sports on Twitter for the latest fall schedule and updates.
